DIDS

Serbian Internet Domain Day (DIDS) is an annual conference on the development of the Internet, both internationally and in the Serbian domain space, organised by RNIDS.

The day-long DIDS programme gathers together not only IT professionals, Internet providers and accredited registrars, but also other Internet users, who get the chance to learn more about current topics of interest both in the Serbian Internet space and at the global level.

DIDS has been held annually since 2010 and is open, free of charge, to all participants who are interested in the development of the Internet, including students, bloggers, business owners and journalists.

The DIDS programme is divided into three blocks and takes the form of presentations and talks by relevant speakers from Serbia and abroad, as well as panel debates. The first block is dedicated to the latest global and local phenomena and trends relating to the Internet, with guest speakers from the industry both from home and abroad. The second block features a panel debate on a variety of current topics. The third block of the conference presents significant homegrown Internet projects that are located on the national Internet domains .RS and .СРБ, together with their authors and initiators.

The DIDS programme committee and the DIDS organising committee are responsible for devising the programme and organising the conference. DIDS is generally held on 10th March, on the anniversary of the launch of the .RS domain.
