Working Groups and Committees

The RNIDS Conference of Co-founders and the Board of Governors may, as required, establish working bodies (working groups and committees). The possibility of the formation of working groups and committees is laid down in the RNIDS Statute.

Members of working groups and committees report to the body which appointed them. Working bodies can vary in the number of members appointed to them, depending on the type and quantity of work for which they have been established, but may have no less than three.

Members of working bodies provide their knowledge and experience in the professional fields required, and can be drawn from the ranks of the Conference of Co-founders, the Board of Governors and the Office of RNIDS. They can also be experts from outside RNIDS, from the local Internet community.

Complaints Committee

The Committee for determining violations of the rules concerning domain name registrations considers complaints regarding all breaches of the rules governing matters of registrations, including the registration of the .RS and .СРБ domains.

The Committee is established by the director, who monitors its work. The term of office of Committee members is three years, with the option of re-election. The Committee takes decisions by majority vote. The Committee comprises three members of whom at least two are legal professionals while one is the RNIDS member of staff responsible for legal affairs, as per his or her job description. The members of the Committee choose a Chair from among themselves who coordinates its work.

Any interested party can file complaints regarding violations of the rules on the registration of domain names. Complaints do not have to be sent to the Committee – the RNIDS Office forwards to the Committee all complaints regarding violations of the rules on the registration of domain names which it feels it cannot resolve itself due to the complexity of the matter.

The second-instance body for appeals against decisions of the Committee is the RNIDS Board of Governors.
