The Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Society of Serbia informed RNIDS that the management of the .ac.rs address space should be left to the Conference of the Universities of Serbia (Konus) which should determine conditions for domain registration for all accredited high-education institutions - faculties and institutes.
The Conference of the Universities of Serbia has already decided that the University of Belgrade, representing the Academic Network from its establishment, is the legal entity to which this task should be entrusted. The Conference of the Universities of Serbia immeditately required that the procedure of migrating from the existing .ac.yu to the new .ac.rs domain should be prepared and carried out for all legal entities (31 faculties and institutes), without any limitations.
Until the end of the year, the Accademic Network of Serbia must define rules and submit them to Konus for ratification.
