Cyrillic Online Address
There is no reason why the text would be in Serbian Cyrillic, and the URL in Latin. There might have been in the past, but not anymore. Do not support the backward, support the advancing.
Furthermore, John Mueller, Senior Webmaster Trends Analyst, an expert for Google algorithms, recommends web addresses to be written in the same script and language the website content is written in. The only condition is to follow the UTF-8 standard which Google recommends.
There are, of course, some small secrets which make it easier to work with international URL-s. Yet, professionals deal with that, and average users enjoy the results of their work.
However, average users occasionally need to copy web addresses from one browser’s address bar to another. And that’s where the trap for non-English URLs is because copied address looks like this: https://рнидс.срб/%D0%B4%D0%BE%D0%BC%D0%B5%D0%BD%D0%B8, or even like this: https://xn--d1aholi.xn--90a3ac/%D0%B4%D0%BE%D0%BC%D0%B5%D0%BD%D0%B8, and it should look like this: https://рнидс.срб/домени.
The short and readable address is lost due to mistake most of the browsers make – transcoding of UTF-8 standard addresses into ASCII standard using „URL encoding“, e.i. „Percent Encoding“. Now devices can still read the address without any difficulty, but people can’t. However, there is a solution for that as well. While copying the address to another bar, the first letter h should be left out and only ttps://рнидс.срб/домени copied. The missing h can be added after the address is copied, and the address will be readable to humans and machines alike.
IDN encoder
If you want to see what a Cyrillic domain will look like when it is changed from Unicode IDN format, which is recognised by web browsers such as Internet Explorer, to ACE (ASCII Compatible Encoding) known as PUNICODE, which is recognised by DNS servers, you can visit our IDN encoder page.
