A total of 20,134 .rs domains have been registered until May 20th 2008, at 01:00 pm, i.e. 72 days after the commencement of the registration process. This data shows that the Internet community is eager to begin using the new national domain as soon as possible.
This trend is expected to continue. Statistics on the number of registered domains, updated on a daily basis, can be found at www.rnids.rs. The process of registering the new .rs domain and replacing the old national domain began on March 10th. In the period of six months from this date, owners of old .yu domains have the Priority Right to register the same domain names with the .rs prefix.
