The Serbian National Register of Internet Domain Names (RNIDS) and the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities have initiated a joint public campaign to remind more than a hundred municipalities to register their .rs domains.
We have invited 36 registrars to contact in the days to come administrations in towns and municipalities that have still not registered .rs domains and ask them to do so in due date. Enclosed with a letter to registrars is a list of municipalities without the new .rs domain.
Two organisations intend to invite authorities through media to perform this significant task as soon as possible. This will make it simple for local self-governments to present themselves online. Otherwise, somebody else may rent their domain and use it for their own purposes.
